What is DuitNow QR?

DuitNow QR is Malaysia's official National Standard Quick Response (QR) Code system. It was developed by PayNet in collaboration with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) as part of the Interoperable Credit Transfer Framework (ICTF) – a framework used for credit transfers between different systems. You can now use the DuitNow QR feature to make payments quickly and easily from your KAF Digital Bank application.

Activating DuitNow QR Pay

You can activate DuitNow QR Pay in two ways:

1. Via the “Transfer” Menu

• Launching the App and Biometric Login: First, open the mobile application on your device. Then, the application will ask you to log in. For security, use your biometric authentication features (e.g., fingerprint scan or facial recognition).
• Navigating to the “Transfer” Menu: After successfully logging in, you will see your Home Screen or Account Dashboard. Find and click on the "Transfer" menu, which is usually in the main part of the Home Screen.
• Entering Your Secure PIN: After you select the "Transfer" menu, the app will ask for an additional security authentication. Enter your Secure PIN when prompted.
• Selecting “DuitNow QR”: You will see various transfer options on the "Select Transfer Method" screen. Select "DuitNow QR" from the list of options.
• Activating “QR Pay”: You will be taken to the "QR Pay Registration" screen. Click the "Activate" button to start the process of activating the QR Pay feature.
• Selecting “Payer & Recipient Account”: The application will ask you to select your primary account for making and receiving DuitNow QR payments. Select your desired "Payer & Recipient Account". Please note, you can usually only select one account.
• Successful Confirmation: Once you have followed the steps above, the application will confirm that the QR Payment feature has been successfully activated and linked to your account. You are now ready to use the QR Payment feature.

2. From “QR Pay” on the Account Dashboard

• Launching the App and Biometric Login: Open the mobile application on your device. Then, the application will ask you to log in. For security, use your biometric authentication features (e.g., fingerprint scan or facial recognition).
• Click "QR Pay" at the Bottom of Your Dashboard: After successfully logging in, you will see your account dashboard. Find and click on the "QR Pay" button or icon, which is usually located at the bottom of the dashboard screen.
• Entering Your Secure PIN: After clicking "QR Pay", the application will ask for an additional security authentication. Enter your Secure PIN when prompted.
• Activating “QR Pay”: You will be taken to the "QR Pay Registration" screen. Click the "Activate" button to start the process of activating the QR Pay feature.
• Selecting “Payer & Recipient Account”: The application will ask you to select your primary account for making and receiving QR Pay payments. Select your desired "Payer & Recipient Account". Please note, you can usually only select one account.
• Continue Registering: After selecting your "Payer & Recipient Account", click the "Continue" button to complete the registration process.
• Successful Setup Confirmation: Once you have followed the steps above, the application will confirm that the QR Payment feature has been successfully activated and linked to your account. The QR Payment feature is now ready for you to use.

Making Payments Using DuitNow QR

From your account dashboard:

• Launching the App and Biometric Login: Open & log in to the mobile application on your device. To securely access your account, use your configured biometric authentication method (e.g., fingerprint scan or facial recognition).
• Navigating to the “Transfer” Menu: After successfully logging in, you will be taken to the Home Screen or Account Dashboard. Find and click on the "Transfer" menu option, which is usually located in the main navigation of the Home Screen.
• Entering Your Secure PIN: After selecting the "Transfer" menu, the application will require an additional layer of security authentication. Enter your set Secure PIN when prompted.
• Selecting “DuitNow QR”: You will be presented with various transfer options on the "Select Transfer Method" screen. Select "DuitNow QR" from the available options.
• Entering Amount: Enter the amount and click "Continue". Please wait for the page to load for the QR scanner.
• QR Scan: Scan the QR code.
• Approval & Acknowledgment & Options: Approve your transaction. The acknowledgment screen will show whether your transaction was successful or unsuccessful. Choose to “Make Another Transfer” or “Share Receipt” if necessary.

Receiving Funds/Money via QR

From your account dashboard:

• Launching the App and Biometric Login: Open & log in to the mobile application on your device. After entering the app page, the app will ask you to log in. To securely access your account, use your configured biometric authentication method (e.g., fingerprint scan or facial recognition).
• Navigating to “QR Pay”: Once you have logged in to your account dashboard, look for the "QR Pay" icon. This is usually located in the main navigation bar at the bottom of the screen and often features a stylized QR code symbol. Click on the "QR Pay" icon.
• Select “Receive”: In the QR Pay interface/scanner, find and tap on the "Receive" tab.
• Your Personal QR Code: The application will generate your personal DuitNow QR code. This code contains your recipient account information.
• Sharing Your QR Code to receive payment (Optional):
  • Click "Share": On the "Receive" screen, you will see a "Share" button. Click this button if the sender cannot physically scan your screen.
  • Select Sharing Method: A pop-up menu with various sharing options will appear. You can choose to share your QR code image via the sharing methods listed in the app.
  • Send QR Code: Select your preferred method and send the QR code image to the sender. The sender can then upload or scan this image using their banking application to send you money.
