Terms and Conditions: Mobile Applications KAF EFUNDS on KAF Digital Bank App
Please carefully read the following Terms and Conditions before accessing the KAF eFunds platform through the KAF Digital Bank (KDB) Mobile Application. These Terms and Conditions (T&C) govern your access to the KAF eFunds Platform ("KAF eFunds"). KAF eFunds accessed via the KAF Digital Bank Mobile Application ("KAFDB App") will include the use of OTP to approve any transactions on KAF eFunds.
1. Service Scope and Roles
1.1 The KAF eFunds platform is managed by KAF Investment Funds Berhad (KIFB), a licensed fund manager. The KAF Digital Bank (KDB) Mobile App acts solely as the digital gateway.
1.2 KAF eFunds is distinct from and should not be misconstrued with any deposit products offered or made available by the Bank.
1.3 Your onboarding relies on data already verified by KDB. By initiating an investment, you consent to KDB securely sharing your necessary KYC (Know Your Customer) data with KIFB to establish your investment account.
2. Account Access and Security
2.1 Authentication: Accessing and authorising transactions requires a 6-digit One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered email address. The OTP remains valid for 10 minutes.
2.2 Security Responsibility: You are fully responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and OTPs. You are responsible for all activities occurring under your account resulting from negligence, carelessness, or failure to maintain security measures.
2.3 Account Lockout: For your protection, if you make more than three (3) failed OTP attempts, your account will be automatically locked for an initial duration of 30 minutes.
3. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
3.1 Investment Risk: The value of units and the income from them may fall as well as rise. Past performance of a unit trust fund should not be taken as an indication of its future performance. Investing with borrowed money is riskier than investing with your own savings.
3.2 Platform “As Is”: The platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We expressly disclaim all warranties regarding security, accuracy, or continued availability. We are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages caused by systems failure, communications line failure, or unauthorized access.
4. Shariah Compliance
4.1 KAF Digital Bank operates as a licensed Islamic digital bank under Bank Negara Malaysia. While the Bank is Shariah-compliant, the specific investment products, funds, and portfolios offered through KAF eFunds are governed by their own respective Shariah boards, prospectuses, and screening methodologies.
4.2 It is your sole responsibility to review the relevant fund prospectuses, product highlights sheets, and Shariah certificates provided by KAF eFunds Entities to ensure the investments align with your personal Shariah or financial preferences.
5. PIDM
5.1 Any investments made into KAF eFunds are not deposits and are not protected by the Malaysia Deposit Insurance Corporation (PIDM).
6. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Due to the global nature of the Internet, you agree to comply with all local rules with respect to your account and your online conduct.
